Centuries-old olive trees, brown earth, blue skies, impervious coastlines, unknown beaches, hidden treasures, extremely long coastlines, scorching sun, pink sunsets suspended in time, brioches with ice cream and iced “Brasilena”, illegal construnction, extended families, colorful deckchairs and faded beach umbrellas, frenzied cicadas, orange skies, scattered small boats in the middle at sea, columns of smoke, kites and reeds in the wind. The saltiness on the skin, the smell of the sea in the hair, the warm August breeze, the restless crashing of waves, the small town centers deserted at midday, the smell of home-cooked dish and fresh laundry, the silent heat, open windows and fluttering curtains, the clatter of dishes and a TV in the distance.
