SOLITUDE VS LONELINESS
"Solitude vs Loneliness: the joy and the pain of being alone": a series of digitally drawn diptychs focused on the struggle between the alienation of loneliness and the need and desire to hide oneself to live out our own “perversions” or natural tendencies away from prying eyes. Solitude and loneliness, two words with apparently the same meaning, but that actually express very different shades of being alone. Two words that express two different meanings, one positive and another one negative, one active and another one passive, a desired one and a suffered one. Bodies and sexual encounters interact with these solitary places in a series of digitally drawn diptychs focused on the struggle between the alienation of loneliness and the need and desire to hide oneself to live out our own “perversions” or natural tendencies away from prying eyes.
